Opinion on Okonkwo

Okonkwo is very different from others in the story. He is very determined to be successful rather than his father. His father Unoka is very lazy and has massive debt. Okonkwo is very easy to make angry. He has a short temper and will hit any one that doesn't comply with him or gets in his way. He even hits his wife if she disobeys him. I my opinion his a rude, inconsiderate, jerk. Even though he care about his family, that doesn't give him permission to beat them. So what i am saying is that personaly i don't like this mean side of him but i like his determined side to do well in the settlement.
